When and why did you become interested in cycling? In 1985 at my first triathlon
What do you think you get out of cycling? Fitness, fun, friendship, have seen many great spots due to cycling.
On average how many kilometres do you ride a week and with whom? I don't worry about the kms; time in the saddle is the key.
Describe you most memorable ride? Stelvio, snowing on the way up and skiers at the top.
Give us a description of a ride you would rather forget? Last weekend, I fell off in the last 20 metres of 115 km ride!
What is your favourite post cycle beverage? Cup of tea
What is your favourite cycle energy food? Barley sugars this week
How do you cope with cold winter mornings? There are none in NQ, coldest day this year about 15 degrees.
Is there anything that can be done to improve the on road relationship between cyclists and motorists? Respect from both parties and for drivers to learn it only takes a touch from a car to destroy another person's life.
What advice can you give those who are thinking of taking up cycling? Enjoy, but be always careful- always assume the car will do what you least expect.
Experience has taught me: to never give up.
Who inspires you the most? Fearless women.
What is your life/cycle philosophy? You are a long time dead.
I often daydream about: cycle holidays anywhere.
When you are not cycling you are: surf lifesaving.
When all else fails: try again.
