When and why did you become interested in cycling?Approx 20 years ago, I got the bug off my hubby!
What do you think you get out of cycling?Fresh air, friendships and fast legs!
On average how many kilometres do you ride a week and with whom? 300 -400kms whenever it fits in, group rides and solo, and commuting to work
Describe you most memorable ride? Being chased by seven different sized dogs on a property in the middle of nowhere last Saturday with Greg and Sharman!
Give us a description of a ride you would rather forget?Crashing on the highway at 40kms/hr, clipped a wheel and down I went ouch! Splat!
What is your favourite post cycle beverage?Go a coke!
What is your favourite cycle energy food? Sesame snaps, apricot yoghurt bars.
How do you cope with cold winter mornings? Don't do winter mornings ever! I live in Cairns.
Is there anything that can be done to improve the on road relationship between cyclists and motorists?Just respect each other and share the road!
What advice can you give those who are thinking of taking up cycling ? It's all good as long as you are out there having fun not matter how many kilometres you clock up or what speed you go. Better to be out there than staying at home and being a couch potato.
Experience has taught me: to expect the unexpected!
Who inspires you the most? My teenage kids.
What is your life/cycle philosophy? Live for the moment!
I often daydream about: cycling around Australia and being free.
When you are not cycling you are: a taxi service to my teenagers!
When all else fails: get back up and go forward! And smile!
