In the news – Sulzberger wins Canberra Women’s Tour
Grace Sulzberger's return to domestic cycling continues to gain pace, with the 22-year-old claiming overall honours in the DBR Australia Canberra Women's Tour.
The Pure Tasmania team rider was tenth overall after the opening two days but won the final two stages at Stromlo Forest Park to clinch the win.
The Tour wrapped up today with a double stage day beginning with a 40.1km road race through Stromlo Forest in near freezing conditions.
Sulzberger led a breakaway on the first climb with stage 2 winner and overnight leader, South Australia's Jessica Mundy (SASI), stage 1 winner Allison Rice (Suzuki/Trek/NTID) and Sue Forsyth.Sulzberger then overcame strong winds to launch a daring solo attack and rode away to win the stage by 1:52.
