Fabrics and care
The Lycra® fabric used in our cycling knicks and V-neck jerseys is imported from Italy and is world renowned for its quality and fabric feel. This fabric is top of the range and has color fastness envied by other fabric manufacturers. The dyes used achieve the highest color fastness values while meeting the Oko Tex Standard 100.
The fabric also boasts UPF50+ properties which offers excellent sun protection from solar ultraviolet radiation, the sun, sunburn and skin damage which may ultimately lead to skin cancer
Care of Lycra® garments:
- Gentle machine wash at no more than 40°C
- Do not use chlorine based bleach
- May be ironed but with a maximum sole plate temperature of only 110°C
- Avoid spin drying. Squeeze off excess water or delicate spin. Hang to dry in shade
- Do not tumble dry
Care of Bamboo fabric garments
Bamboo fabric base layers will maintain their special qualities when washed in cold to warm water (up to 60 degrees Celsius) with a gentle detergent, free of bleach. You may want to use a gentle cycle for some finished garments and fabric types. If necessary, bamboo base layers can be dried in a clothes dryer on the cool setting.
Wash your bamboo base layers inside out on a shorter wash cycle with gentle agitation and remove them from the washer promptly. Line drying in the sun is best, if possible. Machine drying is ok but don't overdo it! Over drying can result in damaged fabrics.
